Terms and conditions
The terms you order under. Written to match what the workshop actually does, so read it before you approve a cut-list rather than after.

1. Who you are dealing with
This site is operated by AOG Interiors Limited, a joinery workshop in Industrial Area, Nairobi. Where these terms say we, us or the workshop, that is who they mean. Where they say you, that means the person or company placing the order.
Placing an order, sending a cut-list or paying a deposit means you accept these terms as they read on that day. We may change them, and the date at the top of this page tells you when we last did. A change never applies backwards to an order already in the workshop.
2. Quotes and prices
Board is priced by the sheet and by the cut, and both move with the market, so the catalogue shows accessory prices but asks you for a cut-list before pricing panel work. A quote we give you holds for seven days unless it says otherwise on the quote itself.
Prices are in Kenyan Shillings. Where VAT applies it is shown as its own line, never folded into the figure quietly. A price for cutting and edging covers the work named on the quote. It does not cover site measurement, installation or making good, and any of those is quoted separately.
3. Cut-lists and what you approve
We cut to the list you approve, not to the room. The dimensions, the grain direction and the edging sides on that list are yours to check, because they are the only description of the job the saw operator sees.
We cut to plus or minus 1mm on the beam saw, squared on both axes. If you need tighter than that, say so before we start and we will tell you whether the material allows it.
Approving a cut-list is the point of no return on dimensions. Once panels are cut to your figures they cannot be uncut, so we hold the approved list on your order and both of us work from that copy.
4. Payment
Nothing is charged when you place an order. We confirm the material is in stock, then send you the amount to pay. Payment is by M-Pesa to our Paybill using your order number as the account number, which is what lets us match a payment to a job. Bank transfer and cash on collection also work.
- Made-to-size work, which means CNC, PVC wrapped doors and anything cut to your dimensions, needs payment in full before it starts. The panels have no resale value to anyone else.
- Stocked accessories and board are paid before they leave the workshop.
- Approved account customers pay on the terms written into their account and nowhere else.
A payment reflects on your order page once we have matched the M-Pesa reference. If it has not appeared within a working day, send us the reference and we will find it.
5. Lead times
Cutting and edging on stocked board is usually same day or next working day. CNC work and PVC wrapped doors take five to seven working days because they are made to your sizes.
Every order carries a promised date, and that date is the commitment, not the estimate above it. If something moves, the date on your order page changes and you can see it without calling us. Dates depend on the material being available and on payment having cleared where payment comes first.
6. Delivery and collection
We deliver across Nairobi and the surrounding counties. The fee depends on your town and is worked out at checkout before you commit, not added afterwards. Collection from the workshop is free.
Delivery is to the kerb at the address you give us, during workshop hours. Carrying panels upstairs, through a gate a lorry cannot reach, or into a building site is not included, and the driver may decline it. Panels are heavy: a full sheet of 18mm MDF is about 40kg. If you are collecting, bring help or a pickup.
Check the delivery against your list while the driver is there and tell us about a shortage or visible damage within 24 hours. After that we cannot tell what happened on site from what happened on the lorry.
7. Changes and cancellation
You can change or cancel an order at no cost until cutting starts. Ring the workshop rather than only emailing, because the saw does not wait for an inbox.
Once cutting has started, cancellation costs the material and labour already spent. Panels already cut to your dimensions are payable in full. Stocked accessories still in their packaging can be returned within 14 days for a refund of the goods, less the delivery already paid.
8. Faults, wrong cuts and returns
If we cut it wrong against the list you approved, we re-cut it at our cost. Bring it back with the order number.
If the list itself was wrong, we will re-cut at material and labour cost. This is why the approval step matters: that is the moment where a mistake is still free.
Faulty board or hardware is replaced or refunded. Board is a natural and manufactured product, so grain, decor batch and colour vary between sheets, and a variation of that kind is not a fault. If colour match across a run matters to you, tell us before we order the board and we will cut from one batch.
Nothing here reduces the rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2012 or the Sale of Goods Act.
9. Ownership and risk
Goods stay our property until they are paid for in full. Risk passes to you when you take delivery or collect, whichever comes first, so from that point they are yours to store and insure.
Finished work held at the workshop past its promised date because you are not ready for it may attract a storage charge after 14 days, and we will tell you before it starts rather than on the invoice.
10. Drawings and files you send us
Your drawings, dimensions and files stay yours. Sending them to us gives us permission to use them for one thing, which is making your job, including passing them to the machine that cuts it.
We may photograph finished work for our own portfolio. If you would rather we did not, say so on the order and we will not.
You confirm that anything you send us is yours to send. If a design you supply infringes somebody else's rights, that sits with you rather than with the workshop.
11. Your account
An account holds your cut-lists, your addresses and your order history. Keep your password to yourself, because anyone signed in as you can place an order as you.
We may suspend an account that is used to place orders that are never paid for, or to abuse staff. You can close your account at any time, and what happens to your data when you do is set out in the privacy notice.
12. What we are responsible for
We are responsible for the work we do: cutting to the approved list, within the stated tolerance, in the material specified.
We are not responsible for loss that follows on from a late or wrong delivery, such as an idle fitting crew, a missed handover or a penalty in your own contract. Our liability on any order is limited to the value of that order. This limit does not apply to death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or to anything else the law does not let us limit.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction over any dispute. Before either of us goes to court, we would rather you rang the workshop, because most of what ends up in a dispute started as a measurement nobody queried.
