Computerised beam saw
Every panel on a list, cut square and to the millimetre.
What it holds
- Cuts to plus or minus 1mm
- Squares both axes in one pass
- Cutting pattern optimised across the sheet
- Whole stacks cut in one loading
What it does
The machine every cut-list goes through. A whole stack of board is loaded at once and the cutting pattern is computed from your panel schedule, so the saw takes the same measurement the same way on the first panel and the two-hundredth.
Because the pattern is optimised across the sheet before anything is cut, the offcut you pay for is smaller than a hand-cut job would leave. That is most of why a cut-list is cheaper than buying sheets and cutting them yourself.
Squaring is what it is really for. A carcass built from panels that are 2mm out of square does not come back into square on site, and no amount of shimming hides it in a run of units.
